Job posting: Research Assistant in Agronomy

Coastal Zones Research Institute (CZRI) invites applications to fill as soon as possible a research assistant position. The candidate will work on projects in agronomy in the « peatlands, soils and sustainable development » team. This position is for a period of one year with possibility of renewal.

Conditions:

Bachelor or Master Degree in agriculture, agronomy, horticulture or equivalent. Experience in applied research or project management is essential. Knowledge of blueberry or bog will be considered as an asset. The candidate must be available to perform field work and in the laboratory. Knowledge of French is very important.

The successful candidate will demonstrate skills / abilities:

  • in soil fertility and yield assessments ;
  • in monitoring of agro- morphological measurements ;
  • in writing and data analysis ;
  • in team work ;
  • to work with flexible hours in the laboratory and in the field;
  • in the concern of well done work.

Salary: Based on the CZRI salary scale
