2015 AI/GI/CRV Conferenceadmin January 6, 2017
The 2015 AI/GI/CRV Conference is a collaboration of three leading conferences: Artificial
Intelligence 2015, Graphics Interface 2015 and Computer and Robot Vision 2015. It will bring
together leaders in research, industry, and government, as well as Canada’s most
accomplished students, to showcase Canada’s ingenuity, innovation and leadership in
intelligent systems and advanced information and communications technology.
We invite companies to take part in the Industry Showcase event, which aims to promote
mutual awareness and research partnership building with academic partners (faculty and
students) in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data analytics, graphics, visualization,
human computer interaction, and computer and robot vision. Participating companies will give
a 2-minute 1-slide pitch (see template) to the tri-conference audience, followed by informal
interaction and networking buffet-style lunch with faculty and students around the company
booth or poster. NSERC and Mitacs representatives will give a brief overview of funding
programs for collaborative industry-university research.
Interested companies should register here and email one slide for their pitch
to email@example.com, under subject heading “AI/GI/CRV Industry Showcaseâ€.
Participation is free, registration is required. Space is limited, so register
early to reserve your booth. For any questions, email Evangelos Milios at firstname.lastname@example.org
Schedule of events:
1230: Presentation of NSERC Partnership programs
1240: Presentation of Mitacs programs
1245: Company pitches (2min each, 1 slide)
1305: Networking lunch
The Artificial Intelligence conference’s mission is to foster excellence and leadership in
research, development and education in Canada’s artificial intelligence community by
facilitating the exchange of knowledge through various media and venues.
Graphics Interface is the Canadian annual conference devoted to computer graphics, visualization,
interactive systems, and human-computer interaction. It is the oldest regularly-scheduled computer
graphics and human-computer interaction conference; the first conference was held in 1969.
Computer and Robot Vision, formerly known as Vision Interface (VI), is the Canadian annual
conference related to any aspect of computer vision, robot vision, robotics, medical imaging,
image processing or pattern recognition. These are areas of academic and industrial strength
both in Canada and in Nova Scotia. Conference attendees are primarily Canadian faculty and
graduate students. The list of academic participants is available in the programs of the three
conferences. The papers listed have at least one registered author who will attend the
conference, and therefore the industry showcase.
