There is still space available to attend in-person.  Onsite networking, a tour, and one-on-one meetings with presenters, BCIP companies, and other program partners will be part of the afternoon agenda.

You are invited to be part of the conversation on June 22nd at the St. Andrews Biological Station.  Join the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) to learn about the Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) and showcase your innovations to potential end users across the Government of Canada.

The BCIP is a procurement program, launched as part of the government of Canada’s commitment to promote Canada’s economic growth as announced in Budget 2012.  The BCIP helps Canadian businesses to bridge the pre-commercialization gap that many businesses face in moving their innovative goods and services from the laboratory to the marketplace.

This conversation will focus on Fisheries and Oceans Canada, their operational challenges, and the areas they are seeking innovations.  Some of the areas on their innovation wish list include but are not limited to:

  • Underwater cameras,
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles,
  • Autonomous underwater vehicles,
  • Surface drifters,
  • pH and oxygen control systems,
  • Anti-corrosion applications,
  • Image analysis

Participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from BCIP, PWGSC, Fisheries and Oceans Canada and others.  This is also a prime opportunity to network with other Canadian businesses involved in the development of innovative goods and services

Please note that space is limited and registration is required.  Registration is on a first come, first served basis. This event is offered FREE of charge, however registration is mandatory. The presentations will be delivered in English. The presentations can be made available in French upon request. Events in French are being planned.
