About the Lunch Seminar Series
The Maritime Human Genetics and Genomics Seminars are designed to improve our understanding of the role of genes in human health, and our awareness of best practices, new findings and regional research that may provide benefit to patients. The Dalhousie CME-accredited monthly lunch seminars are meant to encourage sharing of ideas and questions, and feature a range of presenters – from Atlantic Canada and beyond – with a diverse array of backgrounds and expertise. Topics include challenging clinical presentations, research, policy and ethical issues, and technological developments. The sessions are attractive to clinicians, researchers, health managers and those in policy development. The series was developed by Maritime Human Genetics Research Centre, Genome Atlantic and the IGNITE Project, and are made possible by the Government of Canada through Genome Canada and Genome Atlantic, as well as the IWK Department of Pediatrics.
