Research Connector: Forestry and Environment @ Wu Centre

Are you a researcher working in a Forestry and Environment related field that is interested in meeting companies looking for new collaborations? This networking event, held 14 November, 2017 at 1:00PM is designed to introduce companies to the appropriate research expertise and funding systems.

The Connector will be composed of 3-minute presentations(“pitches”) from companies and researchers. Companies will present short overviews of their businesses and the research expertise they are seeking. Researchers will present their research interests and expertise and the potential application to industry.

Sample research topics, but not limited to, include: Technologies to improve products and/or processes: Improved practices; Computer technologies, Automation, waterway impact, high precision technologies, robotics pulp and paper research, Unmanned Vehicle Systems, control systems, sustainable resource development and management, conservation, environmental impact, supply chain integration/management, mining and energy, natural ecosystems, civil engineering implications, quality controls, etc.

To register as a presenter:

1. Register on Eventbrite as either Presenter (Researcher), Presenter (Company) or Presenter (Funding Agency).
2. Contact for the appropriate PPT template.
NOTE: Presentations will not be accepted after Thursday, 9 November.

1. Register on Eventbrite as a General Attendee.
