The Wallace McCain Institute is now recruiting for their 2iC-5 peer group. Applications close July 25th.  The program is open to anyone in a position of “second-in-command”.  The brochure has the dates, cost and simple application info all included at http://www.wallacemccaininstitute.com/2ic

The Wallace McCain Institute’s mission is to “help entrepreneurs have a better chance of success”. After years of working with founders, presidents and CEOs, it is clear that the most important thing they need to succeed is not access to capital but rather access to great people to help translate their dream into reality. In order to address this need, WMI established a peer group for 2iCs (Second-in-Command) that began in the fall of 2010. WMI has graduated four 2iC cohorts so far and as 2iC4 Alumni testify:

  • “An incredible personal and professional journey that inspires development of yourself, your team and your organization.”   Janice McNeill, Phoenix Petroleum Ltd.
  • This program will give you the skills and tools to mentor others to live and learn and in turn your team will enable you to be a great leader.”   Greg Dickie, Atlantic All-Weather Windows Ltd.

The Second-in-Command program will launch its fifth class in October 2015.  The class will meet once each month for nine months.  Each session will be one and a half days in length and will be focused on a central topic. Guest speakers will be invited to speak to the class and deliver their experience, stories and best practices. The program will take place in a residential retreat environment.
