Does your research dive deep into the ocean? Are you interested in meeting companies looking for new collaboration in this area of research?

Whether you’re mapping the floor, feeding fish, or developing infrastructure, we want to hear about your work.This networking event is designed to bring companies, research expertise, and funding agencies together to create opportunities for partnership and success.

  • Automated processes
  • Cybersecurity
  • Ocean mapping

The Connector will be composed of 3-minute presentations from companies and researchers. Networking time will follow presentations.

Companies will present short overviews of their operations and the research expertise they seek.

Researchers will present their research interests and expertise, and their potential application to external partners.

The event will also include presentations from funders about programs available to support these partnerships.

This event is offered by UNB’s Office of Research Services, in conjunction with Springboard, the Saint John Port Authority, BioNB, and Canada’s Ocean Supercluster.

Please note: Spaces are limited for this tour. Each group can accommodate a maximum of 10 participants at a time, and will last approximately 20 minutes. To allow as many participants as possible, we will arrange staggered start times between 10 am and 11 am.

Registered participants will receive a follow-up email at a later date confirming their registration and start time, and providing directions to the site. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes ahead of your start time to sign in.

April 2, 2020 will mark the 11-year anniversary of R3 and we are pleased to announce a 1-day forum for this biennial event. Our focus is to LEARN, COMPETE and RECOGNIZE Talent Development in the Innovation Economy.

We are embracing the entire career pathway of researchers both in academic and industry settings. This recognizes the importance of talent development and that having a group of highly skilled applied researchers is one of our province’s major resources.

R3 caters to a vast range of applied researchers, from grad students starting out, industry reps using R&D to advance their business and senior faculty members looking to embrace new avenues of applied research.
