Youth Science Canada, Science East and the University of New Brunswick are pleased to bring the 2015 Canada-Wide Science Fair to Fredericton, and they need your help! CWSF wants to showcase New Brunswick businesses and organizations at a special event called Science at Work, celebrating the wide variety of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) related careers in our province.

CWSF is a national event that is expected to attract thousands of people with an interest in STEM – this is an excellent opportunity to advertise your business, or to demonstrate a special interest, trade skill, or hobby. Science at Work is free for both presenters and the public.

Saying “yes” to this great event requires the following from you:

  • Your time! Science at Work will run Thursday, May 14th from 1-8pm, Friday, May 15th from 9am-12pm and Saturday, May 16 from 9 am – 12 pm. It will be held in the Alberta Alumni Recreation Centre, on the ground floor of the Richard J Currie Centre (15 Peter Kelly Drive, Fredericton). You can sign up for whichever time slots are convenient for you. (The facility will be available for set-up one hour ahead of the event start time).
  • A display that informs students about your job/interest and some of the tools/equipment/products relating to this field.
  • An interactive part of your display that will engage students. (For example, a dentist could bring x-rays or a mouth guard machine; a brick layer could bring some bricks and mortar, a chef could bring in cooking accessories and measuring tools, etc.)
