The wonders of Mother Nature never cease to amaze me – seaweed toothpaste….who knew? Researchers at Newcastle University have been studying Bacillus licheniformis (a bacteria found in seaweed) and believe it could protect teeth where plaque tends to gather. Their lab tests suggest the microbe’s enzyme cuts through plaque, stripping it of bacteria that causes tooth decay. Look for seaweed toothpaste and mouthwashes in a store near you.
