Instructor – Cannabis Cultivation Program

The Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick – Campbellton Campus is creating a directory of qualified instructors in response to continuing education needs in the Cannabis Cultivation Technician program. Reporting to the department head of the sector, the chosen person will have to teach mainly in the Cannabis Cultivation Technician program, delivered in a classroom.
As a member of the teaching team, the person will:
- teach various modular and traditional classes in the field of cannabis cultivation from planting to harvesting, in accordance with high product quality standards;
- prepare lesson plans, develop teaching materials, evaluate students’ progress while monitoring and supervising them, performing administrative tasks.
Applicants must have post-secondary training in horticulture and have five (5) years of work experience in the specified fields. A background in teaching experience would be an asset. Functional knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required, as well as a very good knowledge of English and French, both spoken and written. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. Must be able to provide proof of a criminal background check.
A combination of training and experience related to the position could be considered. Applicants must support this equivalency in the presentation of the resume.
